Community of Inclusivity & Global Mindset
International Business Initiation was founded in January of 2023 after a group of Yonsei University students decided to turn their shared interests into an official College Club. Since then, we’ve grown as a community and have expanded what we offer to our members, such as the Personal Development (PD) program and Startup x IBI Matching (SIM) program. When you decide to join us, you too will gain access to various events and, most importantly, to a group of like-minded individuals who are just as passionate as you are in the world of business.
Personal Development (PD) Program
Main Program at IBI
The Personal Development (PD) Program stands as a project-based portfolio-enhancement initiative meticulously crafted to inspire IBI members to cultivate a profound comprehension of their chosen industries.
In 2023, members were organized into five industry teams—Project Management, Marketing, Finance, Business Planning, and Data Analysis—wherein they actively honed pertinent skills and engaged in comprehensive case studies on industry leaders.

PD program has been extended to the spring semester of 2024, amplifying its commitment to delivering enhanced guidance for project success. This extension further enables active participation in real-life case studies or potential internships, thoughtfully curated in collaboration with newly partnered enterprises.
Startup x IBI Matching (SIM) Program
Fall 2023 Pilot
The Startup x IBI Matching (SIM) Program, initiated by the founding members of IBI, served as a pioneering pilot project in the fall 2023. In this groundbreaking initiative, 37 international students in Korea were strategically paired with 20 startups, fostering a robust partnership with IBI to facilitate semester-long internships. The program's primary objective was to furnish career enhancement opportunities for international jobseekers within the dynamic and competitive landscape of the Korean job market.
